  • Squid/kanava/koonthal/bondaas are directly sourced from fishermen in kerala. Cleaned and dried under very hygienic environment. All are naturally dried and 100% dryness with natural flavor
  • Dried squid is one of the popular dehydrated seafood in Asian cuisine. Dried squid is sweet, pliable, medium and chewy.
  • No added preservatives, additives or flavoring agents. 100% natural and organic.
  • The nutritional value of squid compares favorably with other fishes, having high content of protein and phosphorus with traces of calcium, thiamine and, riboflavin. It is also a good source of zinc, manganese, copper, selenium and vitamin B12.
  • Method of preparation: (1). Soak dried squid in water for 30 minutes to soften before frying or Add baking soda to the soaking water.(one teaspoon per liter of water) (2). Dry thoroughly with paper towel before cooking. (3). Heat oil over medium-low heat. (4). Place dried squid and lower heat to low. (5). Slow cook each side for 3 minutes. Use the kitchen utensil to flatten the squid. (If you dont do this it will curl and will not cook evenly.)


My Village dry squid fishes are 100% natural and organic. We Dried freshly caught fishes direct from small sea boats in Kerala. For our export purpose, we cleaned fishes carefully in a very hygienic environment. We dry fishes using solar in-house dryers. Free from preservatives and additives.
