The Heritage Pongal mix is a millet based, healthy, nutritious and wholesome Pongal Mix. Beneficial in detoxifying body, lowers bad cholesterol, helps in prevention of type-2 diabetes/obesity. This product is a combination of Millet Mix and Moong Dhal having low glycemic index and glutton free. The Heritage Pongal is also an instant breakfast food which can be prepared in minimum cooking time. Heat the oil(preferably Gingeli Oil) and season with mustard seed, curry leaves,red chilli, small onion and crushed pepper. Add vegetable as per your choice and fry for 3-5 minutes. Pour this prepared mixture into a pressure cooker along with Heritage Pongal mix and add water. Place the lid with weight and cook it till 2 whistle. Reduce the flame & wait for next whistle. Switch off the flame and allow natural release of steam and then transfer Pongal to a serving bowl.
